To provide our services effectively, we collect:
Account information: Email, nickname, and native language.
Learning data: Video history, AI chat interactions, and saved notes.
Usage data: Information on how you interact with the platform to improve our features.
Technical data: IP address and browser type for security and performance monitoring.

4. Third-Party Services
Tombik integrates with external services:
YouTube: Videos are embedded via YouTube's API. Their privacy policy applies to video playback.
Supabase: Used for secure authentication and database management.
AI Providers: Anonymized text segments may be processed by AI models to provide learning assistance.
YouTube API Services and embedded player
Tombik uses YouTube API Services so you can search public YouTube videos and choose a result for a lesson. Your search phrase and a pseudonymous quota identifier used for abuse prevention are sent to Google. Public API data returned may include video and channel IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, duration, embeddability status, channel name and handle, and channel subscriber and video counts.
Search results are used only to answer the request and for short-lived technical caching; Tombik's YouTube search service does not persist those results, sell them, or use them to build advertising profiles. If you add a video to your library, Tombik may associate the YouTube URL/ID you selected and the learning data you create with your account so it can provide the lesson.
Tombik does not use Google or YouTube OAuth, does not access your YouTube account or private YouTube data, and does not request or store your YouTube login credentials or authorization tokens.
When you open a YouTube video, the embedded YouTube player may send basic technical data from your device or browser to Google and use cookies or similar technologies to render the video, determine playability and content restrictions, and prevent fraud and abuse. Tombik initializes the player with autoplay disabled.
You can delete account-linked Tombik data in profile settings or through our account-deletion page. We delete applicable user data as soon as possible and no later than 7 calendar days. 5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your password is encrypted and never stored in plain text.
