Omniverse brought back the concept of ultimate aliens and made them exclusively accessible to Albedo, as in his present-day appearance, he is on the hunt for something to stabilize his recreated Omnitrix. And once he does stabilize it, he really only goes on to use ultimates exclusively in Omniverse. While it's not perfect, I do like what Omniverse does with the ultimates; they work much better when used by Ben's adversaries and not Ben himself. I like seeing the ultimates be something Ben has to overcome with his skill and proficiency with the Omnitrix.
